OUR FARM
Red Tail Farms was established in the fall of 2021 when we were blessed with the opportunity to turn a far-out dream into a reality. Why the name Red Tail? We have several beautiful Red-tailed hawks on our property that we enjoy seeing every day. Just not by our chickens.
We are just beginning our homesteading journey and we can't wait to share with you what we learn along the way!
ABOUT US
We are Elliott and Ann Marie Montgomery, the novice farmers and family behind Red Tail Farms and Big Elmo's Meat and Poultry, LLC. We both grew up in the same small town but with very different experiences. Elliott, having some experience with farm animals and an appreciation for country living. And Ann Marie, used to living the sub-life but always with a soft spot for animals. When we got married and bought our first home we decided that it was very important to us that we raised a family in the peace and tranquility that living in the country provides. Little did we expect that fast-forward six years we would be living in a rural area and running a small farm. But God had other plans. Through this journey, we hope that we can instill the values of hard work and perseverance into our growing family all while bringing glory to God in the process.
BREEDING
We are happy to share that we are an Idaho Pasture Pig registered breeder, offering registered breeding stock and feeder piglets. We also breed and sell Commercial Katadhin and Katadhin/Dorper Cross lambs.
